His family friend, fellow carpenter here, told him about a job opening and he’s been loving it ever since. When Kelson isn’t in the wood shop you can find him camping in his new travel trailer. His favorite aspect about working at Nordlund is the creativity you get to have here. Everything is custom built which gives him the freedom to think of new ideas and create one of a kind pieces. Meet Todd. Our skilled lead carpenter that has been a fundamental part of the Nordlund crew for 19+ years. Todd has over 30 years of carpentry under his belt and is no stranger to being around boats. Starting at the age of 14, he worked at a resort on Hood Canal launching, cleaning, and servicing boats. His favorite aspect about working at Nordlund is the camaraderie of the crew. He describes them as being an extension of his own family. When Todd isn’t at the shipyard, you can find him fishing, his favorite hobby.
